Online psychotherapy
-African Proverb
Let's face it, parenting is hard and we do not all have a village to support us.
We offer psychotherapy services to parents in order to help them feel their best.
Whether you are struggling with your own feelings of sadness or anxiety or having difficulties navigating your child's development, we can offer our support.
Psychotherapy services provided online. This method allows for convenience and flexibility to meet with your psychotherapist wherever you are.
I am a child psychologist registered with the Ordre des Psychologues du Québec (OPQ). I am also a mom to 2 wonderful toddlers.
My goal is to help parents navigate the difficulties associated with raising little humans. I also specialize in helping parents adjust to the postpartum period.
I provide psychotherapy using a goal-directed, collaborative, approach using Cognitive Behavioural therapy (CBT) to help clients identify, understand, and challenge negative feelings, thoughts, and behaviour. I also integrate principles from other approaches, such as Dialectical-Behavioural Therapy (DBT), client-centered, as well as 3rd wave therapies including acceptance commitment therapy (ACT), and mindfulness. My parenting work is based in the principles of attachment and gentle parenting.
I have experience working in various settings including hospitals and schools. In addition to my practice, I teach psychology at the college level.
Everyone can use a helping hand from time to time.
Whether you are struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship/family difficulties, substance use, burnout, work-life balance, or life transitions (to name a few), I will work collaboratively with you to help you achieve your goals.
I practice primarily from an Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) perspective, incorporating elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and self-compassion as needed. However, as everyone’s struggles are unique, I tailor my approach to meet my clients’ individual needs.
I am a graduate from the McGill Counselling Psychology program and a licensed counsellor psychotherapist. I have specialized primarily with youth and adult population through my work with EAPs and university counselling centres.
